Living your Vision

Many of us once had a vision for our lives. But life happened and we lost sight of what that vision was. The demands and concerns of our lives took over our thoughts. We were no longer living our vision.

But we can connect with that vision again. I want you for a second to imagine you are sailing in the ocean toward a distant island that is full of possibilities. But suddenly a fog covers your view and you can no longer see where you are going. You have lost your direction and being to sail off course.

Those doubts that you won’t get there, keep creeping back into your consciousness. You think about those other times when you were lost and lost your direction. You think of those other times where you got excited, only to become disappointed. For a while those memories are all that you can see.

But you say to yourself, “This time is different. I’m not limited by what happened in the past. I have an internal compass that will guide me toward a life in which I am living my vision.”

It’s an internal compass that reminds you of who you are and what your purpose is for being here at this time. It reminds you of your values and what is important to you. Sometimes you’ll get knocked off course, but your internal compass enables you to be mindful of when that occurs so you can make the necessary adjustments.

You know that there is always a way out. If you take the time to be still and to listen it will come to you. Then you will have the ability to transcend the present challenge and sail toward the life you want to live.

Enjoy this great adventure, this great mystery called life. There is no better time than now.

To dream -again. To dare -again.
To feel enjoyment and happiness – again,
or for the first time.
To realize – this is living —
