Attitude

I have been encouraged by many friends and clients and a long standing desire to start a newsletter.  In my many travels, being on Kauai and different pursuits, I have been fortunate enough to meet many wise beings and masters who have guided me on my own journey.  It is my desire to pass on these insights to you along with some of my own.

Do you remember the last time you were in the flow.  Nothing seemed to bother you.   Problems that you thought you had disappeared.  The problems that you thought you had became challenges full of excitement.  You smile full of contentment with confidence that you can do anything.  And then your thoughts change and you start to think about the past and worry about the future.  What has changed?

Recently in Kauai, I noticed in the window of a doctor's office some inspirational words that I wanted to pass on to you.

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.   Attitude, to me is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.   It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company...a church...a home.   The remarkable thing, is we have a choice every day regarding the Attitude we will embrace for the day.  We cannot change our past.  We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our Attitude.  I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.  And so it is with you.  We are in charge of our attitudes."

Think about all the different facets of your life.  Are there some areas of your life that you would like to change or fine tune?  Just in case you can't think of any, try relationships or money. Identify just one subject and honestly examine your existing beliefs regarding that challenge.   Can you adopt two other attitudes regarding that same issue that might be more supportive?  What shifts in attitude will be helpful and what can you do to help you make those shifts?

I would love to hear about your many discoveries.  Feel free to pass this newsletter on to the friends in your circle and let them know about the advantages of being on the journey.
I appreciate your referrals.
