We live in challenging times. Whether you are a busy professional, executive or business owner struggling to be successful, you sometimes wonder if all of the hard work, time and worry has been worth it. Your future may feel unpredictable or uncertain. What seemed to work in the past is no longer effective. It's no secret that you worry more than you would like. Quite often you feel overwhelmed by all of the demands of your life. You've lost that inner sense of joy and discovery. Navigating life's changes has become more challenging. Even if you've achieved what many people would call success you're not sure it's enough. Even when you exceed your expectations you immediately begin to think about the next time. Perhaps there won't be that next client or project that sustains you.

The stress of the deadlines and the decisions that you make on a daily basis is getting to you. Your hope is that somehow this could change but you don't know where to start. You can't even remember the last time you had a meaningful conversation or sat down to have a meal with a friend. You used to think about what was important to you. Not anymore unless it's on your "to do" list. In those rare moments when you stop for a second, you remember that it hasn't always been this way.

Don't feel alone, many people who I work with as their executive and life coach have the same concerns.

Your hope is that somehow this could change but you don’t know where to start. Perhaps you’ve given up trying. If you’re really honest with yourself you wish that you had a magic wand that could instantly make things better. The truth is that you don’t need a magic wand. When you create the time and space to look more deeply at your life, you’ll discover that you can have that feeling of Walking in Freedom with a Confidence and Grace that stays with you no matter what else is going on around you. Self-discovery is an ongoing process. Rather than settling for what you think you can have, you choose what it is that you want.

As an executive and life coach for the last nine years I have seen many individuals create that successful career and joy that comes with doing something masterfully. You can too. You can create that fulfilling relationship with a significant other that keeps evolving. You can wake up in the morning excited again knowing that your life has meaning. In the process you’ll discover that personal and professional development is an exciting journey of discovery.

But to change this, you need a plan. What I do in our work together as your life coach is teach you the six keys that will make your life an exciting adventure of discovery.
Know where you are.
Just like any journey that you are about to begin, you need to know where you are, so that’s how we begin. We assess how satisfied you are in the different aspects of your life.

Know where you are going.
Once we have assessed where you are now in the various aspects of your life, you need to honestly ask yourself what it is that you really want and what it is that your soul yearns for.

Flowing with the natural rhythm of life.
There was a time in your life when you experienced an effortless quality, when you instinctively knew what to do and life just seemed to work. Take a few moments to think about the last time life was like that way for you. This remembrance provides the clues that allow you to move back into that natural rhythm that you flowed with at one time in your life.

Discover your formula to personal freedom.
As you think about those times when your life seemed to flow effortlessly reflect upon the inner qualities that enabled you to have that experience. In our work together, we discover and develop your formula to personal freedom, which is the combination of the handful of inner qualities that you have courageously recognized were consistently present when you were in the flow.

Create your blueprint for success.
Once you have discovered those inner assets and qualities that are the key components to your formula to personal freedom, it’s time to create the blueprint that you can follow so that you can again flow with the natural rhythm of life.

Walking in Freedom.
Our work together creates an empowering partnership, which supports, challenges and stimulates you, so that life becomes a magnificent journey of discovery. With each step you take, the joy and fulfillment is in the journey. That’s when you know that you are walking in freedom.

If what you really want is a richer, more fulfilling, more joyful life, you won't find it by doing just a little better at work. The key to rediscovering your life as an exciting journey of discovery is taking the time to look inward. Not only will you find peace of mind and worry less, but you’ll find a new found sense of joy and fulfillment.

Sometimes what gets in the way of our having that life is that we stay in our comfort zones and watch the river of life flow by without us. Get back in the river by contacting me. When you do, you will receive an initial 40 minute complimentary evaluation and receive your online self assessment.

Perhaps the most significant benefit that my clients experience through life coaching is that they reconnect with the source of their authentic self and their personal power so that they believe in themselves again. Here is what one of my clients, Jay Nathanson, has to say:

"When you reconnect with your authentic self you connect with the source of your personal power. As a trusted guide, mentor and friend, Mark has essentially said to me "Hey, look over here, under all this clutter. Do you see what I see? As I looked, I was amazed. For what I saw, though a bit dusty, was my old friend, waiting for me - my authentic self, full of positive energy, my real Golden Egg."

Once this happens you will have the courage to make the necessary changes and expand what is possible in your life. Here’s what Don McLaughlin, a former client had to say.

"As someone who had done lots of personal growth work with individuals like Deepak Chopra and Tony Robbins, I was a bit reserved about whether working with Mark would add anything to my life.  Now, nearly one year after first meeting Mark, I can say with 100% conviction that my work with Mark has been hands-down the most powerful personal growth work that I have done.  Through Mark's ongoing support, guidance and wisdom, I picked up my family and left my law firm to pursue a job that I've dreamt about my entire life.

Who is a coaching candidate?

Anyone who is ready to change the quality of their life. But in doing so, they must be ready to overcome their resistance to changing the way they have been doing things. They must have an openness and willingness to explore new possibilities and invest in themselves. My mission is to exceed your expectations. I say to people." Give yourself the Gift of Coaching."

When is a good time to begin?

The most common objection that I hear to beginning a coaching relationship is that now is not a good time…perhaps a few months from now will be better. But we all know that in a few months there will be other reasons and excuses not to begin. Because you are reading this it tells me that you are curious to what the benefits are in having a coaching relationship and there is no better time than now!

How long does the coaching relationship last?

The duration of a coaching relationship like most other relationships depends on what both parties are getting from the relationship. As long as there is value the coaching relationship deepens and what is possible in your life expands. There is an initial three month commitment but most relationships extend much longer. Sessions are usually 40 minutes and are either on the phone or in person.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

The emphasis in therapy is on healing old wounds from the past that are preventing you living a normal productive life. Usually these wounds are a result of past traumas or emotional issues. In contrast, the basic tenet of coaching is that you are whole, creative and resourceful the way you are now. Coaching is future oriented and getting you to look at what is possible in your life. The focus then becomes on what actions you can take to transform your life from ordinary to extraordinary. Coaching and therapy do complement each other and it is not uncommon for a person to be involved in both processes. Occasionally I refer clients to therapists.

What is the difference between coaching and consulting?

If we want to play golf, we might hire a consultant to help us find the best equipment and best places to play. Once we have the best equipment and know where to play we hire a coach so that we can play better. A coach helps us have focus and discipline so that we can keep expanding and evolving our abilities to be better golfers and to enjoy our experience of the game. A coach helps us be the best we can be.
